Servant Leadership Extraordinaire!

By admin

I had an awesome experience of Servant Leadership
recently.

It all started when my daughter, Kat, wanted to go
visit Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA.

Watch the video!

May you enjoy the benefits of being a servant leader! My warmest regards,Ed Oakley Enlightened Leadership Solutions

Great clip. It just reinforces what I believe in. If we want people to be successful, we want to give as much information for them to use. Your friend JJ understands that. I know in my company, I not only give “verbatim” information, but if that info can be elaborated, how much more useful in the decision or action process.

An example: We’re an NPF corp. Our consultant stongly advised our Directors to get to know the State legislators who served on the appropriations committee. Instead of just repeating the challenge, I listed the names of the legislators and which of the Directors’ areas they represented. What do you think? Will the directors be more apt to act? You bet!

Great little piece on Servant Leadership. This is exactly what we try to practice at Houston, and with all interactions. It’s also what we preach and teach. Let’s hope, like you, that we leave the world a little better than we found it.

Cheers,
