One phrase that most people can remember hearing from
a boss, peer, parent or anyone that was trying to give
advice is, "Trust me. I know from experience." This is
much more convincing than, "Trust me. I heard it at a conference." Experience
carries great weight because we know the impact of its
lessons. When experiences can be leveraged in the development
of people these experiences often turn out to be some of
the most significant lessons in their lives.
Action learning is the practice of structuring learning
events around real world application and experience also
having participants go back to their jobs to immediately
implement the tools and concepts presented. ELS embraces
this philosophy as we build action learning into nearly
everything we do. |
