When organizations struggle with their strategic planning
process or when the plans they do create go unused, it
is rarely because their planning process did not include
state-of-the-art techniques or the latest models in strategic
planning. Usually it is because their process did not involve
an adequate number of the right people in the organization
and because their process did not thoroughly address all
of the most critical, "core" aspects of strategic
planning.
Additionally, some confuse strategy with execution. We
have seen some strategic planning meetings that should
have been execution meetings.
We provide guidelines to organizations on a strategic
planning process that is very realistic, flexible and suited
to their nature. To ensure that the strategic planning
process is effective, the facilitation needs to be effective
as well. Any facilitator we select for your organization
will have the background, personality and experience that
will foster an environment for success.
